Imperfect people.
The Church is no more, and no less, than the people who gather here to worship. God has blessed Fort Caroline with a wonderful, diverse collection of people. Below, enjoy four stories from members of our congregation. No perfect people allowed.
Kevin & Lisa’s Story
Kevin & Lisa’s journey through losing a child and having another child with cerebral palsy.
“Eight months into the pregnancy, we ended up losing one (of the twins). It was pretty traumatic for us… We actually had a doctor tell us, 'so your daughter is going to have special needs and you two will probably be divorced in a year due to statistics so here’s your child'."
Willie & Tameshia’s Story
Willie & Tameshia’s journey through heart changes that led to major life changes.
"I just felt hopeless and I knew I needed to do something, but I didn’t know what to do… I put my trust in the Lord. He did a lot of miracles in my life. A lot… My relationship with Christ is so good. He is still continuing to make me new."
Larry Weaver’s Story
Larry Weaver’s journey to rediscovering Jesus.
“We visited several churches... but I must say that really the turning point was Ricky and his preaching. I often say to other people that he is the best preaching pastor I’ve ever heard… It’s a good time in the life of Fort Caroline Baptist Church."
Shaun & Anika’s Story
Shaun & Anika’s journey through a difficult pregnancy of twins.
“They let us know from the get-go that it would be a complicated pregnancy… [The twins] came 3 months early... and they both weighed 1 lb 11 oz each... The whole time, I believed that they were going to be okay and I don’t think I would have been able to believe it had we not had our faith in God and the support we were getting from family and people at the church."
